Medical Office Cleaning in the East Bay

After-hours cleaning for exam rooms, operatories, waiting areas and restrooms, done by a consistent vetted local crew that follows your written protocols.

Patients notice a smudged reception window, a full trash can in an exam room or a restroom that was clearly skipped. Your staff notices too, usually first thing in the morning when they are already behind. Medical office cleaning is about doing the basics with more care: disinfecting the surfaces people touch, keeping restroom and patient areas separate, and following the procedures your practice already has in place.

What is included in medical office cleaning

The checklist is built around your practice and your written protocols. A typical scope includes:

  • Waiting room chairs, armrests, tables and check-in counters disinfected
  • Exam room counters, sinks, door handles and light switches disinfected
  • Exam table surfaces wiped once your staff has cleared them
  • Restrooms cleaned, disinfected and restocked
  • Hard floors in exam rooms and hallways mopped with disinfectant
  • Carpet in offices and waiting areas vacuumed
  • Regular trash and recycling removed, liners replaced
  • Staff break rooms and kitchens cleaned
  • Reception glass, front doors and check-in screens wiped
  • Payment terminals, railings and elevator buttons disinfected

Crews use separate color-coded cloths for restrooms and for exam and patient areas, so nothing used on a toilet goes near an exam counter. Disinfectants are EPA-registered products your practice approves, or products we supply after you review them. Sharps containers and regulated medical waste stay with your medical waste vendor. Our crews do not handle, move or dispose of them.

Privacy matters in a medical office. Crews do not access patient records, charts or computers, and they clean around locked files and cabinets without opening them. If a room should not be entered, mark it and it stays closed.

Who medical office cleaning is for

  • Primary care and family medicine clinics
  • Dental offices, orthodontists and oral surgery suites
  • Outpatient and specialty suites: dermatology, physical therapy, optometry and chiropractic
  • Behavioral health and counseling offices
  • Medical office buildings where a property manager needs suites and common areas covered

Administrative space without patient care is usually better served by our standard office cleaning service. Practices that just finished a remodel or a new suite buildout should start with post-construction cleaning before patients arrive.

How scheduling works

Cleaning happens after patient hours, once the last appointment is out and staff have finished charting and locked up. Many practices pick an evening start time. Others prefer early morning, so rooms are done right before the first patient. Clinics with Saturday hours can add a weekend visit.

Most medical offices need cleaning five nights a week because exam rooms and restrooms see steady use. Smaller practices with fewer patient days sometimes choose three nights. The same crew comes each visit, learns your layout and follows your written protocols, including areas that need extra attention during cold and flu season. Questions about scope or a special request go to your local contact at (925) 956-4297.

Medical office cleaning typically runs 15 to 30 percent above standard office rates because of added disinfection time and stricter procedures. Those are typical ranges, not quotes. Our office cleaning pricing guide shows the standard ranges this is based on.

What to expect on the first visit

  1. Walkthrough with your office manager. We tour exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, sterilization areas and admin space, and review any written cleaning protocols you already use.
  2. Products and boundaries. We confirm which disinfectants to use, which rooms are off limits, where sharps and medical waste are kept so crews leave them alone, and how locked areas are handled.
  3. Written scope and quote. You approve a room by room checklist and a monthly price before any cleaning starts.
  4. First visit and review. The first cleaning is a thorough reset. After the first week, we check in with your office manager and adjust the checklist.

Medical office cleaning questions

Do your crews handle medical waste or sharps?

No. Sharps containers and regulated medical waste stay with your medical waste vendor. Crews remove regular trash and recycling only, and leave red bags and sharps containers untouched.

What disinfectants do you use?

EPA-registered disinfectants that your practice approves, or products we supply that you review first. If your protocols call for a specific product or contact time, the crew follows it.

How do you keep restroom germs out of exam rooms?

Crews use separate color-coded cloths for restrooms and for exam and patient areas, and work in a set order from cleaner areas to dirtier ones. Cloths are switched between zones, never carried from one to the other.

Will cleaners see patient information?

Crews do not access patient records, charts or computers, and they work around locked files and cabinets. Ask staff to put paperwork away and lock screens before leaving. The crew will not move anything left on desks.

Do you clean dental operatories?

Yes. We clean floors, counters, sinks and the surfaces your staff has cleared. Disinfecting dental equipment between patients stays with your clinical team. Call (925) 956-4297 to talk through your setup.
